Arne Andressen
Director of Operations
R.W. James & Associates is proud to announce the promotion of Arne Andressen to the Director of Operations position. In this position, Arne will maintain his duties as a project-managing architect, while assuming the responsibilities of resource allocation and work product quality control for the corporation. Congratulations Arne.

Project Manager

Arne has been involved in the construction industry for over twenty years as a draftsman and Architect. His education includes an Associates degree in photography. Having earned his Architect's license in the state of California in 1992, it should be noted that Arne is one of the few in architects in California who has qualified for his license based almost entirely upon experience (C-23306).

Arne's experience was primarily acquired in a small architectural office, where he was responsible for independent work on a variety of projects from inception to completion. He was also responsible for preparing grading plans for various residential and commercial projects, preparing structural drawings based upon structural engineering calculations for nearly all projects, and all city correction work. He is therefore experienced in all phases of construction document preparation, including structural and civil plan work. Arne is conversant with all municipal requirements from submittals, planning and building department procedures, through departmental approvals. He has worked on a wide variety of projects including, the design and preparation of construction documents for numerous tract homes, custom single-family residences, duplexes, apartments, condominiums, office buildings, restaurants, shopping centers, storage facilities, and industrial buildings in the Southern California area.

While at R.W. James & Associates he has served as project manager on more than 25 projects. These assignments include single family residential projects ranging in size from 1 to 176 single family dwellings (tract homes and custom residences), and condominium projects including as many as 150 units. He is also the project manager for the independent inspection service program we have developed in conjunction with an internationally known homebuilder. This inspection service offers disinterested party inspection services and repair recommendations addressing a variety of homeowner complaints. Arne has four years experience as an architectural expert.

Arne is also a member of the United States Army Reserves. His service record includes 7 years in the active Army, 4 years of which was with the 82nd Airborne Division and 2 years with the XVIII ABN Corps in the infantry and field artillery. He has over 20 years of total service and is a Desert Shield/Desert Storm Veteran.
